Mac Practice

Went to the Mac Track for my 5th practice session. This time I was accompanied by Jay Runzi, whom I met on the SPEED Channel Forums. Prior to this session, I had somehow stripped my spark plug hole, and sent the engine to Don at CMC to have an insert put in. He had found that 80% of the threads were OK, so he removed the head and chased the threads from the back.

This was a good session, and I showed improvement in my laptimes. The only glitch was that the header bolt that had pulled out on a previous session, that I tightened down again, had vibrated loose and had fallen out on the track.
